Experience the joys of winter at the Waldheim
Here with us, you can enjoy the fun of winter in all its wonderful variety.
Be that while skiing or boarding in one of the country's biggest contiguous ski area, during a winter hike on cleared winter hiking paths, cross-country skiing in radiant sunshine amid the splendid setting of the Upper Ziller Valley, trying your hand at one of the fun sports such as snowtubing, skidoo and snowshoeing, or in some other completely different way.
For where better to inhale the pure, clear airs of the winter countryside than at our lofty elevations. This includes those unique views from the terraces of our mountain huts and restaurants in the ski areas, but also the thrilling adventure of paragliding.
Skischule Mayrhofen Total
Advancing skills, the quality of how knowledge and competence are conveyed and simply enjoying skiing take precedence – not forgetting of course, the personal contact between guests and instructors as well as experiencing winter and the mountains of the Zillertal Valley. The ski instructors will guide you all the way.
Boundless Fun on the Slopes
PENKEN SKI AREA
For some years now, the Mayrhofen ski area has been connected to those of the Finkenberg, Rastkogel and Eggalm. With 49 ski lifts, skiers can conquer the hills of the Mayrhofen ski area daily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
157 kilometers of slopes, most of which are serviced by snow-makers when there is too little of "the white stuff", are just waiting for you.
AHORN SKI AREA
The second ski area of Mayrhofen, the Ahorn, located on a sunny high plateau, also offers skiing at all levels of difficulty, yet is still outstanding for families and newcomers to the "white sport". The new Ahorn Lift is the biggest gondola in all of Austria (capacity for 160 people).
With a special kids' area and trained staff to look after the youngsters, it provides an ideal setting for a child-focused, adventure-packed stay for our littlest holiday-makers.
And for the pros amongst you looking for even greater challenges, awaiting you here is the 5.5 km-long Ahorn Valley Run. It features modern snow-making equipment and is anything other than boring, even for the best of skiers.
